Battlefield Role

Use a covered firing lane and observe the flanks between shots. Avoid exposing the hull while waiting for the next round.

Strengths

Ammunition, fire control and protected positioning support deliberate long-range engagements. Equipment differs between variants.

When to spawn

Choose it for a job your team needs. After a loss, try a different route rather than driving back into the same firing lane.

Common Mistakes

  • Repeating the same peek. Once an enemy has your range, move to another angle before firing again. A second shot from the same opening is easier to anticipate.
  • Chasing tanks while aircraft attack. Keep a covered firing position and scan the sky between bursts. A ground target is not worth giving an aircraft a free approach.

Survivability and Armor

Crew
4 persons

Protect the sides and rear, limit repeated exposure from one position and avoid assuming that a strongly armored plate protects the whole vehicle.

Keep exposed sides and the fighting compartment behind cover. Check the incoming round and impact angle in Protection Analysis before relying on the armor.

Ammunition

9M311 · SAM

Check seeker and guidance requirements before launch. Keep the target within the weapon’s tracking limits and retain cover for the engagement.

Default · AP-T/HEF-I

Weapon
4 x 30 mm 2A38 automatic cannon

Choose this belt for the target: armor-piercing rounds help against thin armor; explosive and incendiary rounds are useful against aircraft and exposed crews.

30 mm HEI · HEF-I/HEF-T/HEF-I/AP-T

Weapon
4 x 30 mm 2A38 automatic cannon

Choose this belt for the target: armor-piercing rounds help against thin armor; explosive and incendiary rounds are useful against aircraft and exposed crews.

30 mm AP-T · AP-T/AP-T/AP-T/HEF-I

Weapon
4 x 30 mm 2A38 automatic cannon

Choose this belt for the target: armor-piercing rounds help against thin armor; explosive and incendiary rounds are useful against aircraft and exposed crews.

Check seeker and guidance requirements before launch. Keep the target within the weapon’s tracking limits and retain cover for the engagement.

Default · AP-T/HEF-I

Weapon
4 x 30 mm 2A38M1 automatic cannon

Choose this belt for the target: armor-piercing rounds help against thin armor; explosive and incendiary rounds are useful against aircraft and exposed crews.

Ready Rack and Carry Load

Maximum capacity
8 rounds

Carry enough for the route and resupply plan. A listed first-stage capacity alone does not establish a safe spawn load or prove that another rack is empty.

Maximum forward speed
65 km/h
Maximum reverse speed
65 km/h
Power-to-weight ratio

Engine power

Top speed is not cross-country pace. Check the reverse route before taking a firing position.
