Aircraft overview

KOR-2 is a ship-launched scout, not an Air RB lineup choice. In naval battles, launch with a job in mind: check a capture point or look beyond an island before your ship commits. Keep the flight brief when your ship needs your attention.

How to fly it

  1. Choose the job before launch

Check the map and your ship’s position first. A short look over nearby cover is often more useful than a long flight across the map.

  2. Check the cap before landing

Approach a capture point only after checking for enemy ships and aircraft. Set up a straight, controlled water landing; a rushed touchdown can end the attempt before you reach the zone.

  3. Return attention to the ship

Once you have the information you need, check your ship again. Do not lose a useful firing position while chasing another scout across the map.

Common mistakes

  • Flying through defensive fire. A scout is an easy target for shipboard anti-aircraft guns. Turn away when a ship starts tracking you instead of pressing on for a closer look.

Strengths & limitations

Strengths

See around the next island

Use the view from the aircraft to check an approach your ship cannot see. Look for a safe route to the objective before committing the ship to open water.

Limitations

Your ship still needs you

Flying the scout takes your attention away from the ship. Check that the ship is clear of an immediate threat before spending time on a capture attempt.

Launch & availability

Launch from an equipped ship

This aircraft launches from ships that carry it. It is not a separate aircraft to research, crew or select for an Air RB match.

Radar & defenses

Scout with the outside view

Look for ships near the objective and watch for gunfire aimed at you. Seeing a threat from the aircraft does not make the approach safe for your ship.

Naval role

Use it for the naval objective

This is a naval scout rather than a Ground RB CAS spawn. Prioritize a useful look at the objective or a safe capture attempt over an attack through shipboard anti-aircraft fire.

Handling & fuel

Leave space for the water landing

Slow down before the touchdown and keep the wings level. Avoid a last-second steep turn above the water when there is no height left to recover.
