Judge the shot before launch
A lock does not establish that a missile will reach the target. Consider launch speed, altitude, separation, target direction and the turning required after release. A quoted maximum range is not an effective range for every situation.
Decide what happens after firing. A shot that demands more exposure than you can afford may be a poor choice even when the weapon is ready. Use the guidance-type page for specific support requirements.
