Aircraft Selection and Loadouts

Start with an aircraft you know, bring weapons you can use and leave yourself a way home.

Before you choose an aircraft

You need an aircraft with an Air RB BR of at least 8.7 to enter. Start with one you already know, then choose weapons for the job you want to do.

Check your unlocked weapons, hardpoint combinations and spawn cost in the loadout screen. The suggestions below give you a starting point; you can adjust them as you learn how much you need for each attack.

Get used to the loadout in test flight

  • Switch to the weapon you’ll use, open its sight or camera and practice getting a lock or marking an aimpoint.
  • Fly the attack with the fuel and weapons you plan to carry, then practice the turn away.
  • With laser- or manually guided weapons, get comfortable guiding the shot while still flying the aircraft.
  • You don’t need to buy another premium to get started. Learn the route and the weapon in an aircraft you already own.

USA · Guided ground attack

A-4E Early

Air RB: 8.7 · October 8, 2026

Weapons: AGM-62A Walleye I guided bombs, AGM-12B/C Bullpup missiles and AIM-9B Sidewinders.

What to bring: Start with Walleye bombs for a ground target and add self-defense missiles where the hardpoints allow. Try the Bullpups separately once you’re comfortable steering them.

How to fly the attack
  1. Pick an exposed target near friendly support, with a route that keeps you away from other defended sites.
  2. With a Walleye, get a solid seeker lock before release. With a Bullpup, keep the target in view and steer the missile in.
  3. After the attack, head out along your planned route. Don’t circle over the target looking for another shot.

Watch out: The Bullpup needs your guidance after launch. Don’t fly it like a Maverick. Check the weapons available on this A-4 variant before planning an anti-radar attack.

Germany · Maverick ground attack

F-4F

Air RB: 11.0 · October 8, 2026

Weapons: AGM-65B Maverick missiles and AIM-9J Sidewinders.

What to bring: Build around Mavericks for a vehicle target, with Sidewinders for self-defense where the loadout allows.

How to fly the attack
  1. Choose a target you can see clearly in the Maverick’s TV view. Give yourself enough room to lock it before reaching the defenses.
  2. If you can’t get a reliable lock, turn away and set up again. Don’t keep closing the distance while you stare at the camera.
  3. Once you’ve fired, head toward friendly cover and look for fighters on the way back.

Watch out: This is the late F-4F. The Early and KWS variants have different equipment, so check which one is in your preset.

Israel · Fighter cover and ground attack

Netz (Mod)

Air RB: 12.3 · October 8, 2026

Weapons: AGM-65B Mavericks, GBU-31 JDAMs, Python 3s and AIM-9Ls.

What to bring: Take Mavericks for a ground-target run or JDAMs for a stationary objective. Keep infrared missiles for self-defense where the loadout allows.

How to fly the attack
  1. When flying cover, stay near the attack route with enough speed to intercept a fighter. Don’t let a chase pull you away from your teammate.
  2. For a Maverick shot, lock the target before firing. For a JDAM drop, check the aimpoint carefully—it won’t follow a convoy that drives away.
  3. Leave the area after the attack while you still have speed and room to defend.

Watch out: The JDAM option here is for the premium Netz (Mod), not the tech-tree Netz. You also don’t have radar-guided air-to-air missiles, so plan your fighter engagements accordingly.

Israel · Conventional bombing

Kfir Canard

Air RB: 11.0 · October 8, 2026

Weapons: Conventional bombs and AIM-9G Sidewinders.

What to bring: Take enough bombs for one target and keep the load light enough to handle comfortably. Add Sidewinders for self-defense where possible.

How to fly the attack
  1. Pick a target with a clear approach and room to turn away. You’ll need a bombing run rather than a guided-weapon launch from farther out.
  2. Settle the aircraft before releasing. Use the sight you practiced with and leave enough clearance from the blast.
  3. Keep your speed on the way out. If you switch to fighter cover, choose an interception you can finish without getting stuck in a long turning fight.

Watch out: Use the Kfir for conventional attacks you can repeat reliably. Extra bombs won’t help if the defenses stop you reaching the target.

China · Guided ground attack

JH-7A Prototype

Air RB: 12.3 · October 8, 2026

Weapons: Kh-29T and KD-88 missiles, guided bombs, PL-5EII and PL-8 air-to-air missiles.

What to bring: Choose one guided ground-attack weapon you know and keep air-to-air weapons for self-defense. Fit the guidance equipment that load needs.

How to fly the attack
  1. Choose the target and weapon before takeoff so you aren’t learning a new camera at the frontline.
  2. Set up the lock or designation with room to turn away. Know whether you need to keep guiding after release.
  3. Keep checking outside the camera as the weapon flies. Watch for fighters and avoid drifting into another defended area.

Watch out: The Prototype, standard JH-7A and JH-7A2 have different equipment. Use the loadout menu for the variant you’re flying.

China · Radar suppression and fighter cover

Su-30MKK

Air RB: 13.3 · October 8, 2026

Weapons: LD-10 anti-radiation missiles, Kh-29TD missiles and PL-12/RVV-AE air-to-air missiles.

What to bring: For a radar-suppression flight, start with LD-10s and air-to-air weapons for self-defense. For a ground attack, build around the guided weapon you intend to use.

How to fly the attack
  1. Find the radar covering your team’s route and let the attackers know when you’re going in.
  2. Get the emitter lock and firing indication. If the radar switches off, check what happened before telling the team it’s destroyed.
  3. Once the route opens, cover the attackers or head back to rearm. Keep looking outside while you work the sensors.

Watch out: There’s a lot to manage in the MKK. Learn one job at a time rather than trying to fight aircraft, suppress radars and attack ground targets on the same pass.
